Lily’s all bent out of shape and has been yelling at me all evening. I cleaned their pens, added hay, refreshed water, refilled kibble bowls, and dropped a veggie treat in. Nooooope, not good enough. Normally the BF shows up but he has not and that fact must be reported to me by Lily. Constantly. If you look to the left, you can see her there with her mouth wide open hollering at me. She mad. She 98 decibels mad.

Also, I can now say that I have finally had the Ikea meatballs people rave about. They’re pretty good. Not special-trip-1 3/4 hours-north-trip good, but good. The cake is called Chocolate Overload, but we kept calling it chocolate overlord. The calories were likely sinister. The elderflower water (box) is light and sweet and the apple juice with gas (can) is also good. I have other loot, but I’ll post all that tomorrow.
I went to Summerfest in Cincy with a couple of lady friends and found this table. It’s not as pink as my loopy phone suggests - more of a purple that will darken over time. It’s not stained, this is all just carved and oiled wood. I wanted this table soooo bad, and at $1200 it’s a steal. The reality is that I have nowhere to put it and, also, the not having a job thing sort of played into my decision. It was tough to leave behind. What I do have is the artist’s card and contact info. When I get a bigger place, and a job, I will beg them to shut up and take my money.
In November, California voters will decide on a ballot initiative that would require labeling of all foods containing ingredients from genetically modified crops. The initiative made it to the ballot after almost 1 million Californians signed a petition in favor of it—nearly double the 504,760 signatures needed under the state’s proposition rules. The campaign that organized the push to get the measure on the ballot focused on possible health effects of GMO foods.
My 4th of July tomatoes are blossoming. Wooooo.
Memorial Day was low key this year. Just burgers, onions, and sides. Yeah, that’s a turkey platter.
I just realized that LB was born around February of 2007. This means that I missed her birth month (whoops) and that she’s much older than I thought.

Can’t overstate just how much I love it when Tumblr eats a huge post.
Fuck.
